Σύμφωνα με εβραϊκές και χριστιανικές παραδόσεις, ο Σήμ και ο Μελχισεδέκ ( ή ο Σολομώντας, όπως δηλώνεται στην παρούσα έκδοση), με την καθοδήγηση αγγέλων του Θεού, ταξίδεψαν στο σημείο όπου βρισκόταν η Κιβωτός του Νώε, πήραν το σώμα του Αδάμ και, με την καθοδήγηση αγγέλων του Θεού, το έθαψαν στον Γολγοθά της Ιερουσαλήμ.
